Nice and welcoming cellar pub with excellent service and a fine choice of beers.
Really a place to go. Just the food was a bit ordinary; definitely not bad and in fact tasty, though it did taste like it was delivered by a "pub food service"

My wife and myself hadn’t been in the Houff for several years due to working away we went in last night 19/09/2025 and it was the same great staff great food now we are back in town we will be a regular. Keep up the great work. Danny and Angie

Sunday roast was sold out (~12:30pm) so must be popular. The haddock and chips was great. Excellent staff and really nice chilled atmosphere for a Sunday afternoon.
