Waterloo Restaurant & Catering

Went here for dinner with a few other ladies on 4/30/22. If there was an option for 0 stars that's what I would've put. The waitress was as lost as a anyone could be. Our sauerkraut balls that the waitress recommended were far from even good. It took almost an hour to get our food. The ENTIRE staff seemed more interested in waiting on the wedding party going on the the banquet room rather than the customers sitting in the dining room. I ordered the cabbage rolls and mashed potatoes. It was absolutely DISGUSTING. NONE of it was even close to hot. A 6 month old baby could've ate it without issues. So, needless to say, I WILL NEVER come back to this establishment. And I'm sad, because I've been here several times throughout the years, and I've NEVER had such a bad experience.

This place has really gone downhill since the last time we dined here. The best part of the meal was the salad. I ordered the fish and chips. It arrived lukewarm. The fries were mediocre. The fish didn't appear to be freshly prepared, and wasn't crispy. My wife ordered the five cheese mac and cheese. It was bland and also arrived just warm. We will not be returning to this restaurant.

My family and I had a banquet dinner at the restaurant. The food was just okay. The dishes and silverware were dirty. We had a buffet style setup for the banquet and there were a stack of dirty plates. Most of the staff seem friendly. Our server seemed a little overwhelmed at times. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was nice.

My dad and I used to come here all the time when I was little. We moved away, and I finally got the chance to come home to Ohio last year. This is the first place we went to eat. Food is still amazing, and they still had the coffee mugs I remember as a little girl ♡. The service is and always has been outstanding!

The restaurant and restrooms were very clean. Our server was friendly and seemed to know what she was doing. I tried the 4-pc chicken w/fries and salad. It came out hot and tasted pretty good. Another person with our party described his dinner as "meh" and his wife felt that her rice pilaf was cold. The server offered to replace it or warm it up but she declined. all in all it was a pretty good evening with friends.
