This place has a really cool vibe! I really like the setup, a restaurant upstairs and live jazz shows downstairs! The delicious comfort food they’re serving and soft jazz playing in the background really sucks you in making it hard to leave the tranquil setting. The calamari is a must try! I ordered the the blackened catfish it was a generous portion and a flavorful meal, one that I’d repeat. The staff was super amazing, very friendly and helpful!

Service good. But server steered us away from "bad" dishes stating the menu would be changing soon and he could not recommend certain things. My grits were ice-cold but the catfish was delicious and steaming hot served on top. Just a mixed bag at the moment. Ate there previously and had a wonderful salmon sandwich but that was sold out tonight. Not sure what is up with this place it is definitely hit and miss.

This place has POTENTIAL for sure, but my wife and I were highly disappointed... With three kids at home, we don't get out often and were very excited to try out a new restaurant, especially one with a jazz/speakeasy type of feel. Our waiter was initially very nice but his "service" stopped immediately after we ordered. I even had to stop him from taking away our sides as we continued to nibble on them while we talked. I could understand him being rushed or inattentive if they were busy, but we were one of two tables there on a Saturday night. The menu is extremely limited... I figured that would result in high quality, well thought out dishes. I was wrong. My wife and I both got steaks which were $30+ each. Nothing was included with the steak besides a dipping sauce. Understandable, especially at high end steakhouses, but the steaks were HORRIBLE. If you're going to charge extreme prices for steak, I expect the chef to cook them properly. Both of us ordered our steaks medium rare. Both of our steaks came well done. Literally no pink whatsoever in my wife's filet. It was tough and thoroughly disappointing. My wife ordered a blue cheese crust on her filet which added almost $10 to the price (now a $40 steak). That's an extreme price for a simple add on. To top it off, I chose not to have any toppings because I choose to enjoy the flavor of the meat, but the bottom of my steak was riddled with blue cheese. Not sure if they made a mistake and put the topping on mine and then scraped it off, but the flavor of the topping ruined the flavor of my steak. Honestly, it's a shame and embarrassing what they did with that food. I ordered $30-40 steaks expecting my taste buds to be blown away but feel like I was robbed. We both agreed that places like Longhorn blew these steaks out of the water. Heck, I've had better steak at hole in the wall family restaurants. And those steaks came with sides and cost 1/4 of the price... As other reviewers also mentioned, the bathrooms were nasty. Ceiling tiles were missing which is just strange and creepy. I left the bathroom with sticky soles from who knows what and my shoes still make that sticky sound 5 days later. Man, I really wish management would take care of those known issues because the concept is cool and the atmosphere is awesome. Bottom line, we spent over $150 on a dinner and left completely disappointed. At least I had beautiful company to share the awful experience with...

Went for the first time to attend a wine pairing dinner. Chef Ben came out and explained each dish. We had risotto, lamb chop lollipops, truffle fettuccini, beef carpaccio, and duck. Everything was amazing and paired extremely well with the wine. When we were done with dinner, we headed downstairs to the live blues music.

Ate there a few weeks ago with friends. The southern style food was delicious, great drink selection, and friendly staff. The atmosphere was great and you can go downstairs and enjoy some jazz after your meal. FANTASTIC date night spot or a fun night downtown with friends. Will definitely go again.

Came here for a jam session at blu jazz. This is the restarting attached to the place. Cool atmosphere. Super friendly staff! The two stars has to do with the fact they ran out of everything on the menu. Waited over an hour for food. Service for drinks was slightly on the slow side. No one was really in our area they can accommodate.a large group however call ahead to make sure they have food.

We had our food served downstairs. Ten minutes after ordering, we were told there was no salmon available after the barmaid went out of her way to sell us on it, this eliminated a large number of items from a small menu. It was a Tuesday night, no one else was eating, few people were there. Our app, calamari came at the same time as our meal. When I commented on this to the server, he replied, "Yeah, we are a talented group." He seemed to be high. We ordered three other items, all were served cold. The calamari was also cold and overcooked. We told the bar tender, who appeared disoriented all night as they were out of some standard brands of liquor, she just walked away complaining about the kitchen staff. Fifteen minutes later another barmaid appeared and offered to provide fresh calamari at no charge. We had already eaten most of it, at this point we were starving. Nothing was said about the other items, gumbo, scampi and a chicken sandwich, all of which were cold. We asked for a manager, we were told he was late. We stayed for the show, a manager never showed and the staff confessed that there wasn't one. So, out of an item that goes in about a third of the dishes on the menu, out of leading brand alchohol, and serving cold food with impaired staff-maybe Tony ought to rethink the need for a manager?
