Berkeley Bagels

If you've ever had a good bagel: STAY AWAY. The eggs on their breakfast sandwiches is some bland white fluff they call 'eggs' (Which seems to be typical of the area). I also specifically asked twice for jalapeno cream cheese which they assured me they had. When I got home I discovered they had given me "chili cilantro" cream cheese which may possibly contain all of half of one slice of a jalapeno in it and tastes like a white-washed Mexican garden just vomited in my mouth. A solid ZERO on the spicy scale. I called to ask if I had gotten the wrong flavor by mistake, but apparently THIS is what they call "jalapeno" cream cheese when neither the word nor any actual jalapeno exists on the label or in the cream cheese. What a joke. I had to throw it out.

I was in a rush so I called ahead to place my order and was told I could pick it up at 9:15. Upon arrival, I was unsure whether to wait in line or proceed to the counter inside since they have a limit on how many people can be inside due to COVID. So I called again to ask what they wanted me to do and was told to wait in line with everyone else. So for the next 25 minutes I waited and when I got inside the rude woman behind the counter told me it was MY FAULT for not just walking in despite me being told otherwise on the phone. She gave me cold bagels (because they'd been sitting on the counter for 25 minutes) and no sympathy. This was my favorite bagel shop in Berkeley but after the awful customer service I won't be coming back. My bagel wasn't even wrapped, it was just half-heartedly thrown into the bag.
