Hooked On Middleton Beach Fish & Chips

Very good fish. I really enjoyed that the menu has salad options which most fish and chip shops don't. The staff provided quality service. The ambience is not expected to be amazing but it was clean and not rowdy. My family enjoyed the fish burger while I ordered the healthy bowl with grilled fish. I feel maybe one more fillet of fish would have been nice but the meal was still very filling. The ingredients of the salad was better then some of the nearby wineries. The chips were generic compared to freshly made chips you can get such as the Elephant Cider company. Definitely better than Ocean and Paddock which is down the road.

Definitely one of the best fish and chips ever. Got 2 x pieces of fish (for both fish we bought). Chips were what I would expect in a top class restaurant. Staff were friendly with outstanding levels of customer service. Took our fish and chips to Middleton Beach and was just perfect. They deserve their awards.

We had takeaway today after a recommendation from a local and seeing their good google reviews. the king george whiting was sold out so we got the nannygai. We also got tacos and the burger. everything was really nice except the fish. we got it plain grilled which comes floured which we didn’t know as it wasn’t advised, i’ve never had a fish grilled like this. it was inedible with no real grill which is disappointing for a $25 fish. Just need to keep in mind that grilled is not just as it suggests, it’s floured. We did reach out to the restaurant to say we had a bad experience and they apologised and said they’d been doing it this way for 20 years without complaint. Just something to keep in mind if ordering the grilled fish. I would not return or recommend.
