Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen

Service was super friendly! Our waiter was great about giving honest recommendations when we asked and showed up with croissants covered in semi-sweet butter that was like heaven!! All of our different plates got great reviews! I had the Shrimp Alfredo and it was great as is, tons of flavor and lots of food I for sure went home with leftovers for dinner. They do have a men’s, women’s and family bathroom with a changing table which was nice. Bathrooms look kinda beat up and dirty although they weren’t dirty, not sure if that was the design they were looking for but it did throw me off a little.

You walk in and you see this beautiful aquarium of all blue and white and silver fish in a giant clean wall display. We sat at the bar and had a delicious drink from a very friendly and helpful bartender. We tried the delicious potato soup that was amazing and had some salads with chicken tenders on them that were breaded just perfectly and so tender and unlike most places didn't have any gristle or unedible parts of the chicken. I guess I'm not in North Carolina anymore LOL anyways this is a fantastic place for lots of different foods from pasta to pizza to Burgers and salads and soup and friendly servers and a really beautiful atmosphere. They also gave you some fresh made croissants when you sit down. We were quite hungry so we devoured them and I didn't get a picture but oh man were they good!! Hot and buttery and crispy, definitely nothing you would get from a horrible Pillsbury type place these were the nom nom! I think I'll go there tomorrow.

Decided to wait until now to do my review in order to do a comparison. What a change a month makes. 9/03 Review 5 out of 5 stars. I had never been there before and was craving ribs. So I decided to visit and give them a shot. The moment I walked in, the hostess with blonde hair, not sure of her name,, seemed annoyed to have to deal with me. But she seated me and departed. I was slightly annoyed, but upon meeting my server Sydney she really redeemed the experience. She was very attentive and checked on me often to see how everything was. I ordered the full rack of ribs, with mashed potatoes and carrots. The ribs were absolutely exquisite and fall off the bone. The mashed potatoes and carrots were really good too. Sydney asked of I wanted a dessert, which I didnt get but she did give me a sweet tea to go. This really made me want to go back. 10/02 Review 4 out of 5 stars. My second trip was the complete opposite of the first in the way of service. The dark haired hostess cheerfully welcomed me and seated me. After waiting about 10 minutes my server Angel showed up and took my drink order and my food order. This experience was very lackluster in my opinion. After taking my order he only came buy once to refill my sweet tea, but acted like he didnt really want to. Once my order came it was like I was invisible. Unlike Sydney a month earlier he never checked in with me. After my meal never asked if I wanted any desserts. Just went straight to the check. The only redeeming aspect was the delicious steak, which was really juicy albeit more well done than medium well like I ordered. The food was absolutely delicious and enjoyable. Will definitely be going back but probably gonna be trying to get Sydney's section if shes there.

I can't say enough good things about this place. Definitely in my top 2 locations of all time. Their ribs changed my world! I ate them and didn't stop to take a picture. The drink though, I had to stop because it was exceptionally good looking, and the flavor matched! The one pictured is the Maui Margarita. Splendid! Would definitely get again. If you go, I definitely recommend the ribs. I never used to consider myself a rib guy because normally the only meat you get is between the bones. This place has at least 1/2" of meat on top of the bones. Absolutely mouth watering and perfectly cooked. After experiencing this place, I want to take back some of the stars I gave others. This place sets the bar for 5 star food quality at a reasonable price. 👌 don't go expecting white table cloths, but the food is great!

Update- no more lunch pick offered. No sandwiches other than Monte Christo and fried chicken sandwich. Their family restroom was gross and dirty. See picture.. This is my budget favorite restaurant! The lunch pick 2 deal for $6.99 can't be beat! They have updated their menu and replaced all their tables. It's also a great family place. Laura our server and bartender was awesome!
