Happy Garden

My mom, sister and I dropped in tonight. The food was good, fresh and great portions. We were wanting to dine-in. Unfortunately, it seems they moved more towards takeout. They were accommodating and did provide us with paper plates, but it would have been nice to have a more dine-in experience. I hate to include this, but I can't say they are located in the best part of the city. At night, it was a bit scary to leave the restaurant. That's not their fault, but would probably recommend just doing takeout at night.

Has become my go to spot for Chinese food. Service is always great and the food always tastes awesome. Always get great portions of food and it's always a good temperature. This place also restored my faith in wonton soup, which is some of the best I've had in a long time. I look forward to being a repeat customer.

I'm a regular customer. I drive 30-40 minutes to pick up food. There's a lot of other options available along that drive. I spend $40-60 each visit, at least 2x a month, sometimes more. I always tip 20%+ for take out. They are usually extremely nice until I ask for extra soy sauce packets. Almost every time I've asked for extra soy sauce packets they've acted a bit annoyed but today they just outright refused. They provide three packs for 2 people. The family members I pick this order up for would like at least two packets each. And yes you might say, "Just buy your own soy sauce." I do but the family members I pick this up for insist the packets taste different and better. LOL we all have our things. So I will now order a big box of these soy sauce packets to avoid having to ask for more and to make my family happy. And if it has to be made clear, it's really not about some packets, it's about how they made me feel. I hope it was worth it to them.
