Rustic Star

Wo stopped in for early dinner Friday night and to our surprise were the only customers in the place. Service was outstanding but since we had there undivided attention I don't know if that applies when they're busy. I had the sacred green chili cheese burger and it was perfect. The bun was fresh and light the green chili was spicy and the lettuce and tomatoes were cold and fresh. My wife tried the king philly and declared it "better than filling phillys". To wash it down they have about 6 beers, (2 or 3 local) on tap for $3.50 a pint. The only downside is knob hill parking is always a hassle.

Long over-due review... This place is fantastic. Highly recommended by friends and business partners, Rustic Star was on my list of places to try. I'm a bit of a chili-head and when I heard that Rustic Star offered a Day of the Dead burger that was engineered to burn, baby, burn, I made every excuse to stop by. HOLY COW. This was not only the hottest burger I've tried, but also the most amazingly flavorful burger I've had at a local joint here in ABQ. Combined with two beautiful Carolina Reaper peppers, this makes for one fire-full and delicious meal. Despite my relative inability to speak after finishing every last crumb, speck, smudge of food on my plate, Kelly makes for good company. This man is passionate. The burgers are fresh, the buns are crisp and golden, and the fries are spot on. The Reaper Aoili... my god. Delicious, flowery, painful, and oh so good. Please do yourself a favor and walk in the front door, order yourself something hot, and try not to cry over the absolute beauty of it all. A+ ♥♥♥♥

Best kept burger secret in Albuquerque! The burgers here are exquisitely crafted flavor sensations. It is a very simple atmosphere and a totally laid back vibe. The menu is written on butcher paper hanging from the wall, unpretentious presentation, just great food. The staff is extremely friendly and willing to go out of their way for you. Now that they have Beer and wine it may get more busy but normally you can walk in and find a seat anywhere. In the end, if you are craving a burger and are near Nob Hill, go to Rustic Star!

We were in tonight, 12/28. This place does not deserve to be empty on a Thursday night. They have exceedingly friendly service. The menu is simple, but with plenty of choice. I got the Rustic burger, and my partner got The Sacred burger, and we shared regular French fries. We received our food in record time, and it was *excellent*. I'm pretty sure it's the best burger I've had in Albuquerque, and a good deal price-wise. The fries were hot, crisp, and salty. While I left completely satisfied, the food was good enough I would've tried to eat a second meal of the same were I less sensible. It was that good.
