Golden Eggroll Express

Not a bad place. Friendly service. Food is made fresh to order and served nice and hot. Ordered kung Pao chicken with fried rice and an egg roll. It didn't taste like kung Pao but it was tasty. Ordering is a little confusing. You must order at the far end of the lobby. There was 1 hand held printed out menu to view. They ask you to stand there, not sit, until your order is ready. Food is served in a togo box. Would I return? Since it's out of my way, probably not. If I lived in the area maybe. Overall better than typical fast food.

Gave this place a try because of all the other reviews, but it was kind of a let down. I got the noodles with chicken. It was made correctly and I didn't have any health concerns. It just didn't taste good. Seems like they use linguine? I was hoping by "noodles", they meant lo mein or something, but nope. After a few bites, I wound up just picking out the chicken and some of the vegetables and leaving the rest. I did get a pack of crispy wontons too though, and those were fine. Maybe some of the other menu items are better?

The food is very good for a Chinese fast food place. Their prices are under $10 for the meals. Portion sizes are substantial, quite filling. The lady at the counter (wife of the owner husband who cooks), is really friendly. She is all smiles and is really a swertheart. The dining room is large with a very minimalist plain decore but is clean and bright with large Windows all around the room. This is a great place to get Chinese fast food. They are now permanently closed. They have retired.

If you go in looking for your basic fast and inexpensive American Chinese you won't be dissapointed. It's great. They even have a drive thru for picking up takeout. If you're looking for nicer dine in Chinese this isn't the place, but for a restraunt with Express in the name it's exactly what it is supposed to be.
