This place is fantastic!! I was so disappointed when they closed their Gibson location, however after visiting their new location they brought the same hospitality, warmth, and fabulous food with them. Julie and her team go out of their way to make their customers feel welcome. As a retired FS Wildland firefighter team member, I sincere appreciate Julie and her team for supporting our Wildland firefighters buy catering they're meals and showing our New Mexico True hospitality. Highly, highly recommend JRs to everyone.

BEST CATFISH AROUND!!! Hands down, best in town! They had a seafood buffet, which had CATFISH, cod fillets, clams, jumbo shrimp, popcorn shrimp, coleslaw, etc. Like any buffet in New Mexico, there was room for enchiladas, beans and green Chile stew. Huge glasses for drinks, so nice for when I'm thirsty. Staff is polite and attentive, even when you're not their table.

I went with my Thursday Dinner Group tonight. We were all ready for some good barbeque. We werent disappointed! The restaurant was almost empty because we went early so we had the undivided attention of our servers and the service was outstanding! I ordered the beef brisket with J R's delicious sauce and fried okra and fries. Yum ! One lady had shrimp and the shrimp were large and plump, unlike the smaller ones I've seen served lately at places like Red Lobster and Black Angus. Another lady had chicken tenders and she was happy, another had Barbecue Ribs with Coleslaw. The pulled pork and brisket plate with your choice of 2 sides was a favorite. We loved J.R.'S and will definitely go back. When 9 ladies can all agree on the food being great it's a winner!
