Currently on a visit to the town & friends suggested meeting here for tea. Not been for over 40 years so was keen to try it. Sat in the pretty courtyard at the rear of the pub. The interior of the pub was a mix of bar area of olde worlde …

One of the best pubs I've been to, ever. So beautiful inside. Lots of room, beer garden and a extremely clean toilets. The lady that served us was so polite and friendly. We had food for four adults (even though two were 11 and 12) and a bowl of chips for the annoyingly fussy 5 year old. Came to £49. Was it worth it ABSOLUTELY.

Just had a wonderful meal in the Bear Hotel. Home cooked food which was very tasty indeed. Large portions too and only £13.95 per portion. Sadly we are going home tomorrow or else we would have had another meal here, I would thoroughly recommend it

Lovely pub staff very friendly. Food is a bit pricey but was nice.

Delicious food, great prices & decent portions. Love the decor. The service was brill.

Had a very late lunch at the pub. Food was freshly cooked so piping hot with ample portions. Staff friendly and tables cleared quickly. I had the ham, egg and chips, hubby had scampi, which we both enjoyed.
