River Bend Bistro

My husband and I have been here a little more than a few times. The first time we went I touted this place to my friends, saying it was by far my fav in the Alexandria area. Recently dined here;, not a good experience at all. The trout was sub par, I didn’t complain. My husband found a hair in his dessert. He didn’t complain. The bartender noticed him pulling the hair from his mouth and removed the dessert. I guess she went to the kitchen to tell the owner because she came out and said they were taking it off the check. The owner, who spends most of her time ‘strutting’ around the restaurant, didn’t bother to come over. That’s fine. Instead she decided to whisper to her husband, who can usually be seen downing wine at the bar, and they both laughed, and pointed in our direction. What a couple of clowns! Simply because, wait, we’re paying customers Like I said, we didn’t complain. So why the finger pointing and mocking ? To a customer?? We spent good money in your establishment. Sigh…What we thought was a gem of a bistro, turned out to be a bullying, unpleasant, sub-par establishment. What a huge disappointment. Owner - look into customer service 101. Desperately needed. We.
