Deli For The Belly

We've been meaning to give it a try, but often do our takeout for dinner and they're breakfast/lunch. Stopped in to get some lunch to take to the park. I went with the cheeseburger sub. Long roll with two burger patties, American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and ketchup. It was a very classic deli/bodega style sandwich. Not breaking new ground, but a filling lunch. I'm looking forward to giving some other items a try.

Deli For The Belly has a large following from several workers in the area. I was going to have my car serviced near by and found this location open at 5:30 am on a weekday. The restaurant was clean and staff standing by to help you with your order. I ordered a breakfast platter and when I turned around to look for what type of drinks they had available. My food was hot, smelling good and ready to go. I was impressed at the speed of service, accuracy of my order and the prices were fair. This is a really good, fast and plenty of food option place to visit if you are in the area.

Ordered: 1) Pastrami sub - delicious! 2) Already boiled hardshell egg from the counter 3) Ripe banana from the counter 4) Small bottle of water (Crystal Geyser brand?) from the fridge Everything tasted fine, the sub was esp. delicious. However, within an hour, I felt my guts tighten, and I came down with diarrhea. :( Maybe I'm just not used to the richness of the food.
