The Diamond Grill

11/12/21 Approx. 8 A.M. This was the first time I tried this restaurant. Also, it was the first place I was introduced to lamb chops (YUMMY)! Chris our waiter was very hospitable. THE crab cake mixture was a tad bit on the salty side. The broccoli cheese soup was flavorful, but it was brought out cold. The grilled redfish was very delicious. Too bad they don't think of making sauce picante dishes--their sauces are pretty good. Tasted the creme brulée and beignets. The beignets are like grand biscuits with layers--they do not make them the original way. I would pass on the beignets unless you want a version of what a Pillsbury Grand biscuit type of beignet. I ordered a Pink Saphire: it was a good cocktail drink. One-and-Done

Reservations are required which is a good thing as there was a wedding at the nearest hotel. We were greeted immediately at the front door and seated in the second floor dining area near the bar. Our waitress was very professional and handled everything very well. We left a large tip and I hope that she actually received it. I ordered the Chicken Alfredo and it was very good. Dessert was chocolate cake!

Our food was superb and our service from our private server, Chris, was AMAZING. He was attentive, courteous, and admirable in the show of love for his job. Our catered anniversary event had the best pasta I’ve ever eaten, scrumptious vegetables, and fresh salad. The beignets were light, fluffy, and perfected. The drinks were definitely the best and catered to preference. The atmosphere was lovely. Everything was extremely clean. The experience was one of pure elegance. I would recommend for any event to be hosted here, but for their food to be tried as well. A+

We enjoyed our anniversary dinner at Diamond Grill. I absolutely recommend the lobster quesadilla! Delicious! Great service. Perfect setting for a special occasion. We did make early dinner reservations, so there was no wait. 3 in our party ordered steaks and they were all happy. 1 ordered the halibut, overall cooked well but the coating was a little salty in a few bites. We would go again.

Always a good choice when you want one of the best dining experiences Alexandria has to offer. Beautiful decor and rich history. Service is always top notch and the kitchen keeps some of your favorites available but continually comes up with new dishes and suggestions that hit the spot. Great place for a large group and plenty of tables tucked away if you want a spot for 2. Food is always wonderful - highly recommend!
