Volcano Asian Bistro

We were able to get a table right as they opened, and managed to have the entire place to ourselves. Around noonish the business lot this restaurant sits in isn't terribly busy. Anyway, I had the Scorpion King Roll and quite enjoyed it. It's not overly packed with rice like a lot of other rolls might be. Tasted great and service was great. 👍

Food is always fresh and service can always be counted on. Today I requested a rather large order for pick up. There was a mistake with our order and Volcano fixed it with the utmost kindness and understanding. I’ve been enjoying coming here for 7 or 8 years now but today they definitely came through. Thank you all! You played a key role in a last minute surprise lunch for our employees. This week has been a tough one. A fresh, quality meal was just what we needed to keep us going!

I think it is hit or miss here. I ordered food from this restaurant and most of the time it was good. Then one day, I ordered a shrimp dish from here to go and the shrimp was very mushy. I called the manager and was suppose to get a call back and never received one. Another time I had their fried wings and the wings tasted old like from the day before or something. I guess it depends on what day, time, cook or whatever. That has been my experience.

We eat here all the time. The sushi is always fresh. I have NEVER had a bad experience until tonight. We ordered a Pink Lady Roll, Crunch Roll (shrimp), Golden Tuna Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll, 2 ginger salads, a hot and sour soup, 1 unsweet, 1 sweet, and 1 sweet/unsweet tea. First off, the sushi all came out within 2 minutes of ordering it. NOWHERE is 2 minutes enough time to make 4 rolls of 6-8 pieces EACH. Then, all of our food tasted like it was leftover from lunch. It was all cold like it had been refrigerated with the Crunch Roll having the consistency of Rice Krispie treats and cardboard. When I brought this up to the waitress, she said the crunch was probably just mixed with too much spicy mayo. We get this each time and that has NEVER been the issue. She asked my mom how she enjoyed it. My mom's response was, "It's OK, been better" (always the optimist). To this, I chimed in with "I am not enjoying it at all". In response, the waitress laughed, and said, while pointing to my mom, "BUT SHE IS!" So I said, "I guess my opinion doesn't matter at all". My dad told her it all tasted like it was leftover from lunch. She continued to argue with us, so we just left it at that. I paid waaaayyyy too much for what we got. I came in expecting to pay $80-$90, but that is always for food I enjoy. My family did not enjoy our meal tonight, only to be met with arguments standing up for the sushi chef(s) instead of owning up to their mistake.
