I recently won a competition for a free meal at Gonbay. I remember this place from years ago and how good it was. We visited on Saturday night and was pleased to say it hasn’t changed a bit! The staff were outstanding and so welcoming. The speed of the food to the table was exactly how I like it. Enough time between each course and not waiting forever. The food was fantastic. Chicken skewers in satay sauce and honey spare ribs to start, followed by sweet and sour chicken , chicken foo yung, egg fried rice and salt and pepper chips for mains. All had a great taste and flavour and we were well and truly stuffed at the end! Thank you all so much and we will certainly be back very soon!

Ordered takeaway of prawn toast, paper wrapped prawns and Singapore vermicelli. Delicious, hot, great flavours and super quick and slick service. Highly recommended and will return next time in Altrincham!

Stand out service from the staff, so welcoming and happy to split the bills into smaller groups for our party celebrating a family 40th. Portion sizes very good and food very tasty. It is a little bit more expensive than I would usually pay for a meal out, but it was a special occassion birthday for a family member so definitely worth it for a treat. They also made a special dessert with sparkly candle and birthday song for the birthday boy which was lovely! Thank you for a lovely meal out!

Absolutely lovely. The staff were so helpful and friendly, and they answered all our questions so thoroughly. The food was delicious and the portions very generous, with free fruit and jelly for dessert. I would absolutely come again!

I’ve just tried some dishes from this restaurant tonight. I was impressed by the steak Canton! (Love onion). Didn’t get a five star because it’s not the best prawn toast I’ve had. But overall it’s good.

Went here for dim sum, nice little cosy restaurant, I like the feel and the stylish furniture, very friendly and polite staff & boss. Although price is slightly higher than other dim sum places but you get what you paid for! Boss ensures the quality of the food at a very high standard 👍 I would definitely go again. P.s. They have karaoke available on the 2nd floor 🎤🎶
