A typical spoons experience, relax and enjoyable

The young lady who serviced me and my friend today (29 August) needs some serious customer service training. Had a face on her like she had been slapped and manners she had no idea what they are. A very I'll mannered rude person. The food was the only redeeming factor. Won't say it was great wow but it was passable.

We dropped in for breakfast, as an alternative to a cafe and it was alright. Food wasn't brilliant, but its 'Spoons'. Simply wasn't hot enough. Unlimited coffee for £1.50 how can you go wrong. Interesting mix of clientele. We would do this again, and if you are used to paying £ 3, £4, £5 for a coffee its worth considering.

Food and beer was fine, service quick. Didn't get 5 stars as the medium and medium well done steaks were done the wrong way around with the chips and jacket, easily for us to sort out. All the fish was sold out.

I wanted fish and chips but all fish had been served, offered Scampi as an alternative. The meal arrived very quickly with plenty of scampi and perfect chips. A glass of cold Guinness washed down a lovely meal. Loved the place!

A really nice spoons. We are here twice as staying in nearby Travelodge. Eggs Benedict for breakfast was particularly nice. Very clean and friendly staff

Excellent staff but the building is bland, an old shop I assume. Not one of my favourite Spoons but as usual excellent value. My pint of Peerless Langton Spin was under £2 with my CAMRA 50p off voucher. ( JOIN CAMRA...the Spoons vouchers alone almost cover your annual fee.) Needed food. Pizza n chips. Fine rather than a gastronomic delight according to Madge.
