The Wild Goose

We visited this restaurant for the first time this evening. It was great. My son and husband had oysters to start. They were so fresh and beautifully presented. I shared a a baked Camembert with my daughter in law. Mmmmm. The mains, lemon sole, steak and Chicken did not disappoint. All were delicious. We even made room for desserts. Crème brûlée, chocolate Fondant and lemon posset were soooo good. Staff and service were impeccable. We’ll definitely be going back. Apparently the Sunday lunch is the best.

It's very nice setting, host and service were attentive and the separate sections in the restaurant meant it wasn't too loud even when a large group was in. Regarding the food, I'd say the portions were medium sized portions and the bouillabaisse I had on the specials menu was delicious. A lovely place to go if you want to really splash out and treat yourself.

We went to Wild Goose in Altrincham today for my husband’s birthday and had the 2 course deal for Sunday lunch. The starters and main courses we had were absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. I had the beetroot and goats cheese salad as a starter followed by the roast chicken and my husband and mother-in-law both had prawn cocktail as a starter followed by roast beef. The portions for the main courses were huge and I had half a chicken, which was massive. The food was beautifully flavoured but too much for me to finish (I wasn’t complaining!). The wine was delicious too and the service by the waitresses was friendly and attentive. The whole experience was brilliant, as well as being good value. My husband had a lovely time on his birthday. Thank you Wild Goose. We will be back!

Food is really delicious. I had the scallops which are to die for and then the braised beef which melted in the mouth. Just right balance of flavours for both dishes and portions are big enough. Service is really good, atmosphere is really nice ans prices are value for money based on quality of the food.
