Buns Over Texas

Don’t understand why this location has even a four star rating. Twice, I’ve tried to eat here. Both times I went to the drive through and they couldn’t even be bothered to acknowledge my presence. So both times I go inside and they couldn’t be bothered to acknowledge my presence inside either. Just workers pretending you aren’t standing there in front of them. A simple “hello” or “we will be with you shortly”. Something! But nope. Stood there for awhile and walked out. Service and food at the Lubbock location is awesome! I will never go to this location again. I would eat here a couple times a month if it were run like the Lubbock location but this one is a joke.

Probably won’t eat here again. We ordered two combo meals and a kid’s meal online and my husband went to pick it up 25 minutes later. They brought out a hamburger and milkshake. He told them that wasn’t our order and she went back inside to find the correct one. She never came back out so he called, got put on hold, and 15 minutes later they said our order was lost. He asked to speak to a manager to see what could be done and how they would make it right. The manager’s way of “making it right” was that they would make the order in 5 minutes. 10 minutes later our food still was not ready. They brought it out without an apology. He had to wait for over an hour for our food! We got home and realized they didn’t give us our combo meals. I tried to call, got put on hold and no one came back on the phone. I contacted them online and 3 days later, still nothing. They really don’t care about customer service.

First time trying Buns Over Texas This evening. Ordered a Sunrise burger myself, husband got a double cheese burger with bacon. I did really enjoy my burger for the most part. We tried the double cheese fries though and those were terrible. Soggy soggy fries with very dried out cheese. We also wanted grilled onions on our burger and husband wanted grilled jalapeños but I guess they don’t do that and you just have to settle for raw produce since all their produce is in a island cooler where you have to put the veggies on yourself. I do completely understand the want to do it like that so that the guests can choose whatever they want on their burgers and also how much of everything they want. However I think they should be able to put grilled onions and peppers on a burger if requested especially with how expensive this place is. Husband said the onion rings were okay but a bit salty and a bit too much batter. I will say my burger was good, first time I’ve had an egg on my burger, it was delicious. The egg was cooked just right. Bread was a little over toasted just on the edge I think because it was bit tough and chewy at first. I don’t know if it’s really worth the price though. Not terrible but over priced for sure. I had actually wanted a patty melt and somebody recommended this place but there was no patty melt on the menu and patty melts have grilled onions abd they don’t do that there I guess. Like said not a totally terrible experience but a bit disappointing for the price you pay.
