Pei Wei Asian Diner

I’m done with this place. All empty tables stacked with trash and plates. Floor filthy. One poor girl trying to serve every table. She was desperate! One of the restrooms smelled so bad that I asked my wife if we could ask for a refund and leave. She is bashful and didn’t want to. They brought us the wrong plate of food. Even though you take a number and put it on your table. Ordered beef “medium rare” and the girl taking the order just laughed to herself. Then they brought me a serving of carbon black. I didn’t bother to complain. You see, it is their corporate policy to do everything “well done”. And oh man, do the cooks take it seriously! Ingredient quality is still fairly good until the cooks get ahold of it. Pei Wei hasn’t just gone downhill in Amarillo. It is bad everywhere. It’s amazing how much better Panda Express does, and makes it seem easy. When we were ready to go I asked for a To Go sack. Girl handed me a wadded up wrinkly sack. I thought as I took it that it looked like she had gotten it out of the trash can. Then I opened it up and realized she had! There was a receipt and food stains inside the sack!

Just popped by in order to stop for some healthy yet filling food on the way to Oklahoma City and it was amazing. There weren't too many people in and we were able to easily grab and seat right away and get our food within 5 minutes. Beyond great food the staff was super nice! They let me charge my phone in behind the register! Can't say enough good things

We just finished our meal about 10 minutes ago. We were both shocked that out of 2 orders, both ranged from utterly tasteless to horrible. The “fresh” chicken was anything but. Each perfectly squared nugget was clearly out of a bag of frozen preprocessed nuggets. Neither of our orders (sesame and teriyaki) had any sauce, but that was the least of the issues with this yucky meal. Neither of us are picky eaters, but neither of us had the stomach to finish our meals. 2 inedible meals cost over $36. We’re done...never again.

I honestly wish I could give this place 0 stars. My husband and I went here when our normal place was closed during lunch on a Monday, biggest mistake we have made as far as choosing a restaurant to eat at. We ordered simply chicken fried rice and egg rolls and a side of noodles. The food was so bad that I didn't eat it at all. I took a few bites and was done and sorely disappointed for 30 bucks worth of food. The egg rolls had no cabbage in them the chicken in the rice was huge and chewy, rice was loaded with salt but lack of actual flavor. The noodles were loaded with sugar it tasted like a dessert. Needless to say I packed it up and gave it to someone who was really hungry and needed food. I wish I could get my money back for it but at least it went to help someone in need. I will not be returning I will stick to Pacific Rim on Paramount they are amazing in every way.

Normally love this place. They have great pad thai and one of the few places that has a kid option with shrimp. The last two times we have gone, there was not nearly enough staff to accommodate. Ordered kids shrimp lo mein, got chicken. Had to send it back and we already waited quite awhile for our food. Not to mention the phone was ringing so much the poor girl up front couldn't even take my order. Meanwhile the shelf person was standing there doing nothing waiting on dishes to come in the window. Told the shelf person they were out of tea before we sat down, it didn't get refilled until we were finished with our meal. Last time we went, again no one up front at first. Man came from the kitchen to take our order and there was one cook up front on the line. We were the only people there so thought it wouldn't be a big deal. Ordered the same , got the shrimp right this time, but my chicken Pad Thai had no tofu. I didn't send it back bc we had already waited awhile and more people piled in behind us. It was so cold in the restaurant we took our food home to finish eating. When I got to eat it, there was black plastic of some sort (felt like eggshell but it was not) in my food .... Also looked like many tables were not cleaned, and the chili sauce containers hadn't been changed in awhile. I'm very sad that this place seems to be going downhill just because they don't have appropriate staffing. Rushing creates mistakes.

Usually great. We were the only 2 people there for 30 mins today... no good. 2 others come, get food in 10 mins. Somehow they lost our order when we were the only customers! haha. Tasted good eventually. Might be new manager time, floors were sticky, bathroom wrecked, blond employee yelling at bearded employee to come out of the back because there were orders up. Classy.
