King And I

My family and I are new to this area. We are used to the southern soul food back home in GA but I have to say we have been experimenting here in TX to taste the difference in the way foods taste and so far the King and I has the best Asian/Thai/Chinese food. It was fresh cooked to order, tasty, not over powering with flavor or salt which is hard to find sometimes at Chinese food places. I had the Sizzling Beef with white rice and an egg roll and my husband had beef lo mien with an egg roll and we had two beverages and the bill came to just about $27.00. Definitely worth the price. The flavors were awesome. I definitely will miss it when I go back home.

I went to King and I restaurant tonight to get my grandma some take out. as I was in line 3 guys came in there with ragged clothes on and asked for the manager. the manager came over and asked what they needed. and on of them said sir we have no food or money and would like to do some work for the left over food your going to throw out. The manager was not friendly at all in a stern voice told them no and walked away without saying another word. As noticed one of the guys was not wearing shoes or socks his feet were completely black from filth. well when I got my order I was looking to see where they had went. as I drove around notice that they had made it to Taco bueno at I-40 and bell and were asking the manager there the same request. I handed them some money to help them out and told the guy I have been down on my luck before and gave it to him and it looked like he could have started crying. Normally I don't hand out money. But they were not out stealing and did not look like crack heads or seem wasted in any way. I won't ever eat at this restaurant again seeing how the manager/owner is so stuck up to waste trash on a hungry human being.

closed early went back because they didn't give me any soy sauce the girls working the front desk locked the door saw me and ran and ducked behind the counter thinking I wouldn't see them they closed early the food is good but the girls working the register at king and I are extremely rude and if they are incompatent enough to close early it makes me wonder how well they keep the restaurant clean if you order anything be sure to ask for soy sauce or sweet and sour sauce because they don't hand it out with out request I will talk to the manager and post the results after I talk them other than that ide rate the food a 5 star the employees are what made my experience at king and I bad
