Tastee Freez

This place is legendary in Anchorage! Classic soft serve vanilla ice cream, but with chocolate, raspberry, and hard chocolate shell coating as options- there's also sundaes, root beer floats, milkshakes, and more. Freshly prepared burgers, hot dogs, fried chicken tenders, and even Mexican food can be had here for affordable prices (affordable by Alaskan standards, anyway). This is the perfect spot to get a cold treat on a hot summer day. Highly recommend you check them out, especially if you're new to town and want to eat where the locals frequent.

Old school dinner vibes with a massive number of different options to order. Food takes a little while to come out and over all is just average, as you'd probably expect from a fast food dinner style experience. Pricing is in the high end, but the portions are relatively large. The real experience is in the variety of frozen treats they offer, from milkshakes and malts to their freezees (basically a mcflurry with way more options) and cones. Overall a fun experience to pick up some cool treats on a hot day, but not a place I'd recommend frequenting for meals.

I love that they have a vary wide variety of items on the menu to choose from, while things can be a bit pricey, the food is always fresh and hot. They also have a large selection of desserts, most of them having to do with ice cream. Staff is typically consisting of teenagers, but even with that in mind the place runs smooth and orders are always what they should be. I dont think ive ever had to return because of something missing or issues with food. Would definitley recommend!
