Winky's Wings

I placed a order for delivery, it took them 2 hours to deliver my food, it was cold and fries really soggy! When I called to place a complaint, I was told, "well I'm sure your food is cold now, cause my drivers been back and left with another order; so you have had your food at least 30 minutes, and you live downtown, we are on Southside!" Regardless that shouldn't have even been said....it was unprofessional....and in Customer service, whether the customer is or isn't right, they're treated as if they're always right!

Staff service was fine. Order came up exactly when they said. Mac and cheese bites were great. The corn fritters were small and doughy. The boneless wings, however, were the biggest disappointment. Glad to see so many like the wings, but it was almost all breading and the chicken that was inside was spongey. Personally, not on my list to revisit for wings. Maybe the Po Boys are better.

I really enjoy this place. Lived here my whole life and I’m pretty sure these are the best wings in anchorage. Every time I order wings from other places I’m so disappointed. I drive across town just to get takeout at this place and it’s always worth it. Long wait times but really good customer service. Some of my favorites are the bbq wings, mac and cheese, or southern fried wings.

I made a pickup order for some catfish and mac & cheese wedges, I got their early and even watched them package my order so I assumed it would be hot and fresh. I was extremely disappointed when I got home though (5 min later), the fries were warm and dry, some were even cold as if they were microwaved after being refrigerated, and both the catfish and mac and cheese wedges were lukewarm. I'm not sure their cooking is up to basic food safety standards, eat at your own risk.
