Bob Evans

This was the first time I've bought food from Bob Evans is years. I ordered two kids breakfasts meals, two orders of Cinna-biscuits, biscuits & gravy, and the honey butter chicken & biscuit breakfast. My toddlers food was ice cold (like ut had been sitting out for a long time), the cinna biscuits were also cold and weren't good at all. The sausage link that was in one of my kid's breakfast looked like it had a BITE taken out of it so obviously I was going to let her eat it. The single piece of shriveled bacon my son got with his was VERY small (I'd say not even a entire piece) and cold like the rest of their food. I was and am HIGHLY disappointed. We were at the hotel right across the street so there was zero reason our food should have been cold. Definitely not worth the 50 some dollars I spent.

The food is consistently good, and good portions for decent price. Service is usually polite and accommodating, sometimes it's a little...off. On our last visit, one server was loudly discussing schedule issues and other complaints with another employee working on the line. I'm not sure if she was aware of how much her voice carried, or just didn't care, but it was very jarring. For about ten minutes she could be clearly heard across the restaurant, and it was distracting. If not for the occasional awkward moments with service, I have no complaints.

I ordered one of their omelettes in a skillet and was not disappointed. It was the extra protein version and it was absolutely delicious with the hollandaise sauce. I could tell they used quality vegetables in the recipe. Liked the diced up sweet potatoes. They have some of the best coffee around. The server was sufficiently attentive to us.

I went to eat here with my family after church service and the food was quite good. My complaint is the service and employees. The manager, I think Christina, was continuously talking down to our waitress and seemed aggressive about it. We just felt bad and a bit uncomfortable. Restaurants seem like they’re always short staffed, and when you finally have good and nice people working at them, management should be respectful of that. I think we will go to a different location next time because we don’t want to support those types of business practices. I used to work in a restaurant when I was in college to pay my bills so I know how stressful it can be. Nobody deserves to be treated poorly for no reason!!
