Babo Market

While some of its items are on the pricey side, Babo is an awesome little market in a prime location for both students and other citizens of Ann Arbor. It has reasonably priced fresh produce, an awesome deli, coffee shop, sandwich shop, and grocery area. I've never had issues there, and the food is great!

The best way to describe Babo would be to call it a "Gourmet Urban Market and Eatery." There are several different areas in this single space; hot + cold bar eatery, coffee and bake shop, fresh produce section, wine section, deli, and the efficient grocery section. Essentially, Babo is a very efficient gourmet (at great prices if I can say so) grocery market and restaurant. The staff is very knowledgeable and willing to help you out or give you endless free samples. To cut to the chase, basically, if you're interested in walking through the door, everything that they keep in stock will probably be appealing to you. Really. Check it out!

Babo has amazing food. It is a little pricey but its worth it. Babo sells hand fresh juices that taste great. You can taste all the ingredients that they use, its just wonderful! Babo has amazing baguette sandwiches, and a food bar. There is a hot and cold food bar. In the hot food bar you can find potatoes, poller pork, amazing 4 cheese mac and cheese, and much more. In the cold food bar there are lots of salads (Quinoa, beet, grains etc.) When I with my family, I always get the pulled pork in a bun (the bread is amazing!) and a side of mac and cheese. I will also get some beet and feta salad to share. They also have a great ice cream selection. There are many brands but my favorite is Talenti, an Italian gelato brand. Baba also has a pre-cooked food section. You can buy fresh mashed potatoes, gravy, pesto, and many more in that section. Not to mention that Babo is leo a grocery store. You can go to Whole Foods and look for the healthy, great tasting organic items or, you can go to Babo where everything is wisely selected and delicious. I have been to Babo more times than I can count, and have never been disappointed. If you want to get a quick and delicious lunch (or even snack) I recommend checking out Babo.
