Red Wagon Bbq

Small roadside spot with tiny trailer to sell out of . There are picnic tables set up under canopies for shade, but in the 90+ heat it's not really comfortable, also right beside the busy road, so we ordered take out and brought it home. The husband loved his pulled pork, baked beans, cornbread and garlic potatoes. He said the hot bar-b- que sauce was just right. I had ribs only with the mild sauce. Sauce was delicious but my ribs were not very tender. We will return and try the chicken! We had a long wait first to order and then to get the order, about a 30-40 minute wait all together. Reasonably priced and portioned well.

Traveling from St. Pete to Tropical shipping to send it some hurricane relief supplies, smelled the BBQ at 9:30am so on the way back we had to stop. Smoked chicken was out of this world. My buddy said the sausage was bad ass. We very much enjoyed our stop. Would definitely go back to get some more. Thanks SteveO from Lake Wylie.

This place can be really good, if you're a local. The lady at the counter has an attitude. Been there twice and the second time I was served left overs because the meat was so tough I couldn't eat it. They're open Wednesday thru Saturday, so don't go on Wednesday, because they'll unload what they didn't sell on Saturday on Wednesday.
