Jade Orient Express

Very close to my place on Live Oak ave, a little Cantonese Chinese cuisine between 2nd and 3rd ave. Their prices are very reasonable and big portions, too bad they close on Sunday. I have been living around this area for 10 year, however, I just get the chance to try this restaurant a couple years ago. Their foods taste good, if you prefer low sodium, simply let them know. I love their salt and pepper tofu so much that I have been ordering since the very first time. My sons love their fried pork chop, and shrimp & egg. My wife feels like drinking soup and we decide to get the hot and sour soup, it tastes great, however, it lacks eggs in it.

The lady was very rude I ordered a shrimp fried rice. And she gave me a chicken fried rice. I told her she gave me the wrong order and she started screaming at me no you ordered chicken fried rice. I was with my daughter and her boyfriend.They both heard me say shrimp fried rice. They couldn't believe how rude and disrespect this lady was. Good luck going there to eat.

Great little place. Small mom and pop Cantonese style Chinese food. Food is flavorful, good portions, and very reasonable pricing. I enjoyed all their noodles, both stir fried or soup! The fried rice is wonderfully stirr fried as well. If you enjoy salty fish fried rice, they have that dish and very nicely done. Light yet with a punch where the salty fish isn't overwhelming with the fishy smell. Geat place, flavor, and inexpensive!

The food was good and still hot, hot, hot, when we got home. I really wanted to write a review, which I don't do much. The woman answering the phones, while taking orders from walk ups, whole bagging and organizing all orders, while taking payments, while dealing with each person's wants, needs and special requests, while conveying things to the cooks and asking them questions to make sure she gave the right times to pick up to the customers on the phone......gasp***phewww Yes, that woman doing all that and doing a great job and not losing her cool?! She is awesome and I will go back there for this reason. They are awesome there....if you go there just have patience and understand that they're busting their buns here so be patient. If I could've I would have tipped more.

Small mom & pop business. Great food w/prices that are roughly 80% of other places. The Mrs. there is very nice and always thankful that you patronize their business. It's a place worth supporting when they are appreciative and we need good food in the area. "We need them and they need us. Let help when we can."
