Cosi

I have gone there a couple of times for lunch and I have been disappointing almost every time. The food is prepared very sloppily. I ordered a chicken sandwich and it was very cold and soggy. Not appetizing in the slightest. In another occasion I ordered the Korean bowl, it was terrible. It seemed as though everything was just thrown together in the bowl (cold soggy rice and the other cold contents) and then the sauce was an after thought so they just slobbered the cold sauce on top of the other ingredients. The only good experience I have had there is the chicken noodle soup, it is not bad, although the serving size is kind of small for the price.

The food was relatively decent, with the exception of the overly brown avocado on one of our sandwiches. Unfortunately, the service was not great, the tables were dirty, it took an excessive amount of time to prepare the food, and portion sizes we're small relative to the price. The lady who took our order seemed like she was in a horrible mood (could just be the norm for D.C. area eats) and we watched and waited for 10 minutes before the guy preparing food decided to come around and do his job. It took another 15 minutes to get three sandwiches and a half flatbread pizza. They gave us some extra chips to compensate for the wait, but that really didn't make up for the overall experience.

I have frequented this location and the consistency is awful. I order the thai curry bowl every time I go and most of the time there’s hardly any curry, the chicken is dry, and the entire meal is lukewarm. The food seems mediocre even for microwave standards. The staff is lax (one of them brought their daughter to work and she was running around the restaurant). I almost wrote this franchise off until I went to the one in Ballston, which is amazing.

I used to really like the square bagels here. I hadn't been in awhile, stopped in this morning and got two bagels to go. You can image my surprise when I got to work and I had two round hard bagels that were dry. I called and they said that they had stopped doing the squagels. Well, honestly the bagels were my main reason to ever go there, and based on their new ones, I have had better from gas stations (these are not fresh at all). Looks like I lost my one reason to go to cosi.

Oof. Went in and ordered an iced drink. They made it hot. Okay, accidents happen. We asked them to make it iced. They just poured our hot drink over ice. When I told them the drinks were still warm, they INSISTED that’s how they make iced drinks. They literally told me they heat up the milk to make iced drinks. They either lied or they make terrible drinks.
