Bar Louie - Arlington Highlands

This was my first time at Bar Louie, and I was really impressed, especially by the Jalepeno honey wings! Although they were little wings, the flavor was huge! They were actually what my husband ordered, but I couldn't stop myself from digging in, licking my fingers, & talking about them for the rest of the day. I ordered the Blackened Shrimp Street Tacos, which were also tasty. We ordered the Spinach & Artichoke Dip as an appetizer. Not only was it good, it was piping hot, so be careful not to burn your mouths! My husband ordered me a shaken olive martini, but I didn't care for it that much. Now, the Diva Martini...OMG!!!! Ladies, you may wind up ordering 2 or more of these. It's a sweet drink with pomegranate & Pineapple flavor, but you definitely taste the alcohol too. If you're looking for something to give you a nice buzz, this is the drink! Overall, I would recommend this place to others, especially for a good lunch.

My last visit to Bar Louie was for my niece’s book signing on the patio. What a wonderful event that was! This was a dinner visit. The relaxed atmosphere with music playing in the background was the perfect way to wind down after an exhausting day. If it were a little warmer, patio dining would have been perfect. Being a Salmon lover, I decided to order the Seared Salmon with Cauliflower Rice etc. After the first bite it was clear that Salmon wasn’t a good choice. My first thought was to just eat the food… an attempt was made. Thankfully our server Alicia was committed to providing an exceptional dining experience. When Alicia realized my disappointment she made a few suggestions, one being the Ceasar Salad with shrimp, salmon or chicken. The Ceasar Salad with grilled chicken was a very good option. The salad offered just the right amount of tender chicken that was seasoned well and very tasty. A clean plate experience always receives 5 stars. My salad plate was just about clean😉. Alicia’s attentiveness, care and concern for her customers made this a 5-star experience!!. We need more Alicia’s in the restaurant industry!
