It's chain food that's good in a pinch, but nothing outstanding. What is outstanding, however, is the service at this Cal Tort location. Everyone was so smiley and friendly, they brightened up my long day of travel. I had one of the rice bowls, and took it with me on the plane. It was easy to eat in the air, and filled me right up.

Mexican food is usually my least favorite cuisine, but this place just bumped it up a couple notches. I got a fried fish burrito and it was amazing. Not too heavy, fresh fish and veggies, and an incredible selection of hot sauce to pick from. Definitely recommend this place.

This is may favorite lunch store in Crystal City now thanks to all of the staff there. I am a regular patron (almost everyday) and I get the same thing. The lunchtime staff has gotten to the point of knowing my name and usual meal. It's so much fun to walk up to the register, they greet me with a smile and my name and my order is already on their register screen with all of my extras!! Unfortunately, my memory fails me with everyone's name, but my receipt says my cashier was Joanna, who was being trained at the time by one of my favorite staff members. Also, the female manager is always friendly. And the nice lady who makes my meal each time, does so to perfection!

I concur with other reviewers in that this California Tortilla seems superior to others, specifically the one at Hoffman in Alexandria. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly for a fast food joint, and I think the Queso dip has more chiles in it.

I want to like California Tortilla because I love the wall of hot sauce. Unfortunately, they've managed to suck the taste out of everything on the menu. I've tried it enough times to eliminate the chance I'm ordering the wrong thing. Such a shame.

I've been going to various California Tortillas in the area over the years, and the service and food quality at this one was above average. It's also nice that they just started serving beer and wine.

I had a very good experience here the other day. The food was fresh and prepared quickly and the service was also good. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I also liked trying the hot sauces. I will be back again. :)

Very quick food service and everything was fresh. Loved their hot sauce wall. Great dips for tortilla chips - gauc, salsa, queso. Oh yeahhhhh. Cool soda machines too.
