Grandy's

First the old lady at the register was nice and polite but the lady in front of us asked her to carry the tray for her while she took her infant in a carrier. The lady said yes leaving me and my sister to wait. Thankfully it was slow and another lady got right with us. Then as we were leaving we had a big order of 4 adults and one child as we were leaving my sister decided to count and went back over and asked if the kids meal was there. The old lady spoke up and was like yeah the kids meal is there but one of the adult meals isn't. Although we didn't say anything we were stunned like really you helped bag everything and was willing to send us on our way minus one of the meals we paid for. And then we had to stand around and wait until the chicken was cooked. They legit had to double check the ticket to see which one was lost. It was like seriously we paid for 5 meals and you don't have the decency to double check the order. I might understand if there was a line of customers but there was literally no one else practically in the place much less in line so there was no excuse. We did get an extra bag of rolls even after saying we were pretty sure there was some there. Can't complain on extra rolls but still. Then I got chicken fried chicken and it was small and hard to cut into and I don't know if it was fat or what but non edible parts. The mashed potatoes and mac and cheese was good. Oh yeah and no apology for forgetting the dinner. Not the first time I've been there but usually the few times I've been there it was usually only 3 meals and never a problem before. Maybe because the place was dead was the reason for lack of care.

I remember many years ago that Grandy's meant good quality fried chicken. I was reminded that quality fades like memories. The food was absolutely terrible. Fried chicken tasted old and cooked in rancid oil. Okra was not much better. Also ordered fries and the cashier said they were not ready so would bring them out in a few minutes. I'm still waiting but based on how bad everything else was I'm not complaining. Wondering if I can just get my money back. Do yourself a favor and drive right on by.

Food was good but the service was slow although at first it seemed like it was going to be quick. We were literally the only ones there around 11a and although the cashier, very friendly I may add, took our orders right off the bat, the elderly lady who was responsible for fixing our food was practically incapable of doing so. She seemed lost and after we sat there for ten minutes plus, I went to the cashier counter to see what was going on. Only then, did she start fixing our plates but could not identify what a piece of dark meat was. The original cashier had to tell her and point it out to her and give her directions as to what to put on our plates. She could have been new but I very seriously doubt it. She looked like she was tired and not feeling well and should've been home taken of herself. She could barely see or read what she was supposed to prepare for us. But the food was definitely good and hot.

I had an awesome dining experience here today. Very polite/professional staff. My entire order was prepared fresh upon request without complaint. I order 2pc. White w/ baked beans, corn, 2 rolls, medium refillable Iced tead. I believe considering the freshness I received the price was right which totaled $9.90. I recommend this location to all: 2450 SE Green Oaks Blvd, Arlington, TX 76018. Check it out, I don't think you'll be disappointed

My girlfriend and I are struggling very much financially so we were walking home in the cold and we decided to stop and rest in here for our first ever visit to this company. We had a single bag of a few meats and snacks from Kroger next door. We sit down and the table is dirty and covered in ants. We rest for like 3 minutes before the manager himself comes over and rudely tells us we do not allow outside food or drink. That's all he says and then walks off. Not even a hello not even a how are you doing or a sorry. A few minutes later of minding our own and he returns to tell us that we either need to buy something or get out. I tell him we just used the last of our spending money for groceries and we are literally broke. We were near--homeless and walking in the cold and we would leave in a few minutes after we warm up. He says " yes that is a good idea. Leave or I will call the police." Seeing the rest of the reviews on this page makes me realize this is not a good place to visit under any circumstance for any reason because every single quality is very unprofessional---especially this foreign indian-looking manager with the attitude.
