Movie Tavern At Green Oaks

This was possibly the worst experience I have ever had at either a movie theater or an eating establishment. My father and I waited ar the bar for 15 minutes while 3 employees ignored us. The bar tender made eye contact several time, but never said anything acknowledging that we were there. He also completely reeked of weed. We finally ordered but he never made the drinks, so another 10 minutes later we went into our theater. At this point we're 10 minutes from our movie starting and the theater still hasnt been cleaned. I went back to the bar and asked one of the employees if I could speak to a manager, she picked up the phone, I guess dialed an office and then hung up and said "Sorry, they didnt answer". I asked if someone could at least come clean the theater and she said "yeah someone should be over there for you to ask" Why do I have to ask someone to do their job?? So, I went around to the kitchen and asked if there was a manager in there. He came out and I told him about the bar situation and he said they were short staffed so the bar tender isn't working the bar, he's only working the theaters. The bar tender could have at least told us that, communicated with or something. I told him all the dishes were still on the counter and he said yeah someone is going to clean that right away. He never apologized for the experience at hand. We ordered our food and drinks at 3:55, it took 40 minutes to get our bar drinks and 3 of our 4 non alcoholic drinks. The food didnt come until almost 5, and was delivered with no silverware and no napkins. I asked for water when we placed our orders. I got my water at 5:15. An hour and 20 minutes to get a class of WATER. I will not be returning to the Movie Tavern on Green Oaks, ever again.

As you can read in about every other review, the seating here is not exactly the most comfortable - no reclining or extra cushioning. On the other hand, it (the seating) actually appears cleaner and better maintained than most theaters. I've found the food to be okay to good, and priced about what you'd expect for a movie theater. The service has always been top notch on my visits over the past few years. The recent change in ownership has brought with it some nice discounts and extras, especially if you sign up for their free membership/rewards program

We come here often but with new ownership everything I liked on the menu is gone or is not nearly as good. I can't even drink the iced tea anymore, it just doesn't taste like fresh iced tea should. The theater is old, it could use new chairs, and yes it smells. But we always get good service. I don't eat here anymore but still come for the movies.

This place is not worth it at all if they charge $11+ for really bad seats when compared to all other Cinemark theaters that offer amazing seats. It’d be fine if they charged like $5. Also, the servers can be very loud sometimes in the middle of the movie while taking orders. So they need to work on this stuff and either upgrade seating or lower prices considerably. Some of the most uncomfortable ones compared to other theaters.

The movie was good, the food was good. Upon entering, isles and cup holders in reclining chairs were wet (poorly cleaned). There was no trash or popcorn that I saw- so that's good. The service was a bit slow, and our appetizer came out after our meal. My card was charged more than I specified (I was paying cash and card). The movie was good though. Servers were quiet.

The seats are way too close together. I couldn't enjoy the movie relaxed. I liked the food and the service, the food was big enough to share with another person for a decent price. We ordered a hot dog, nachos and popcorn. We couldn't finish it! But the seats were a real bummer they were way too crowded and not to mention the seats looked outdated.

This is one of my favorite theaters to go to. You can get reserved seating when you purchase your tickets online. Also, the food here is better and has healthier choices than at some other movie studios that serve food. Any of these restaurants will have a fairly pricey menu, but I think this menu is less than some others. The food is good and the waitstaff is attentive, but they also try not to bother you during the movie unless you press the little red button to call them. This theater has recently been bought by a larger group that I think is making some changes for the better. Personally, I wish this theater had the reclining seats that other theaters have. While some other theaters have reclining seats that feature a tray that pulls close to your body on which you can put your food, this theater has a table in front of you on which they set your food. So sometimes you have to sit on the forward edge of your chair in order to eat and then can sit back in your chair to relax in a traditional movie seat. There are a few seats in some of the theaters here were the backs don't support you firmly, so you may have to move over receipt sometimes. But I think that the new management will be looking at upgrading the seating to make it more comfortable and replace damaged components sometime soon.
