Tropical Smoothie Cafe

We come here ALL THE TIME. We love the smoothies. However, tonight we brought our family to order dinner and the older Gentleman (I think he's new because we have never seen him) working the counter said "Sorry no food we close in 5 minutes" I looked at my phone and it was only 7:45PM. Why not just close at 7:45 then? He was rather rude which is sad, because I am not sure we will be back now.. On another note we have been here several times right before close and have been served no problem.

I wish I could post 0 stars I sat and watched them wash the counter with some nasty stained towel and he pushed all that dirty water with stuff floating in it I’d say this water was the color of watered down milk into a sink at the end that was full of ice Then… he started to make my kids smoothies He used that ice in the sink!!! That he just pushed all this nasty water into so I called him out he got all mad and said well there’s a drain on the sink I go well that dirty water just filtered through the ice that’s so gross!!! I walked out this is disgusting and the ice was so dirty and nasty and he just continued to make smoothies!

I placed an order online for pick up when I got home I noticed an item was missing so I gave the store a call, the general manager Alex answered the phone when I explained to him what happened and he showed no concern nor did he apologize. I asked for a refund of the missing item and he refused and said if you want the missing item come get it! I explained I drove all the way back home and should not have to drive back since it was a mistake him and his employees made. He didn’t care and instead got mad at me for being frustrated and told me I wasn’t very helpful. I told him, you’re a general manager and this is the best solution? This is how you handle a situation? He still didn’t care. Do not place orders here for pick up because you won’t get your money back if they mess up your order. The general manager needs training on what customer service is and how to handle an escalation.

I love this place. It's so much better than Jamba Juice. Better options, health choices and the flavors rock. The styrofoam cups keep your drink cold for a long period of time. The eatable straws are great also but always have a regular straw handy or you'll be eating your straw and have no way to drink your yummy juice!
