Applebee's Grill + Bar

Just found wax paper in my food. We love to come to Applebee’s late nights. This was disappointing if not for anything other than that the fact that it appears as though I ate the rest of it without noticing. Come on guys kitchen needs to pay more attention. Other than some of the food being made poorly, service was great and we were sat right away. Now I have to check my food here which kinda sucks.

Aesthetic 8/10 Cleanliness 9/10 Service 7/10 Pricing 8/10 Accessibility 10/10 Our server's name was Maya and she was, first and foremost, one of the nicest server's I've come across. We came as a group of 8 at around 1130pm so especially given the situation, I'm pleased with how she and the other employees treated us. She was transparent and explained the reason why our orders were taking so long was because they only had 1 cook. I can very much appreciate her communication with the wait and other mistakes she made. She did mess up 1 of our tabs and forgot what our orders were but this late at night, on a weekend... I can understand. Restaurant was clean and so were the tables and chairs.

First, let me just say that the service is always great here. I've been here a few times and have always been happy with my server. They are kind, attentive, and personable. The reason why I give them an average rating is because the food is sub-par, but it's not necessarily this location's fault. Everything that isn't on the grill just tastes like it's full of preservatives. Maybe it's just me? Anyway, if you love good food, this is probably not the place to go. I've had social gatherings here for drinks, which is probably the best reason to come here. We enjoyed sitting by the bar, ordering drinks (especially at happy hour), and watching the game. That will be the only reason I come here from now on. I think that is Applebee's sweet spot. 👍

We enjoyed a fun lunch with delicious onion rings as an appetizer. Unfortunately, they were out of riblets on the 2/$22 menu and didn't have a substitution available. Also, their idea of meat temps is one level lower. So I ordered a medium-cooked burger, and it came out rate to medium-rare. However, they completely recooked my burger and it came out perfectly medium-well, juicy, and delicious! All of the other meals were perfect!

Came here after the Taste of Colorado for dinner and drinks with my family there was a delay in service but after expressing my concerns with the assistant manager Brandon my service got immediately better. Thank you for running an amazing team everyone came together to better our experience. 🍻 thank you again Brandon Jessica and maya and Shawn and Tim

- [ ] I was getting my car serviced at Midas across the street and I thought I would grab lunch at the nearby Applebee’s. I think the last time I had visited one was in my hometown of Las Vegas probably over 20 years ago so I was actually excited to eat here! I walked in and there wasn’t a host but since I knew it was just me and I wanted to sit at the bar I just sat myself. There was one other patron at the bar with me so that made me feel better to know the bar was in fact open. I waited for 10 minutes and I couldn’t even pick out who the staff was because there was nobody around! Then I saw what I know now was the manager and he didn’t even say hello he just gave me a menu and then sat the 4 top that had been waiting at the front door as long as me. Another 5 minutes and I finally see the bartender who is disheveled in appearance and doesn’t even have any sort of uniform on just a black hoodie. I ask for a water and the Alfredo with blackened shrimp right away. The food does come out in a timely manner. Another manager brings it and asks the bartender if she has silverware behind the bar, she does not she says. He gets me silverware but no napkin, says he will get me napkin and I take it out to see a disgustingly dirty knife. Luckily my meal doesn’t need a knife. The shrimp is not blackened. It tasted similar to a microwave Annie’s Alfredo but I’m so starving I finished it. I put my card out to pay about three minutes into eating because I am just looking around and observing the service at this restaurant and I can’t believe what I am seeing, about 6 people waiting at the front door again and the managers definitely see it and finally after four or five minutes of them waiting he then says “it’s going to be awhile folks.” They are not even that busy but they’re clearly understaffed. With the pandemic I am trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but if the service was better than maybe I could. Let’s just say I’ll never be returning and now I know why it’s been over 20 years since I have been to a location. It was nice that manager Ken (I believe?) ran my card and said “thank you for coming in and sorry for the wait.” Maybe he could see the irritation on my face? Go ahead and do yourself a favor and support a local restaurant instead.
