Woody's Cheesesteaks

What a fantastic find! The only reason I rated the food as 4 instead of a 5 is because a good Phillie Cheesesteak in Atlanta is a high bar - as near mythical as Big Foot. This is only 1 of 3 I have found worth eating in the metro area. It was very good! The atmosphere is really unique. Seats maybe 20 (25 if they're skinny) and the guys in the kitchen bring the Phillie edge. I am definitely going again!

This place is always a hit! I’ve been several times recently & always forget to take pictures of my sandwich before I eat because it’s that good. They are always friendly when you come in, they are super fast & everything comes out hot off the grill. They have several options, I haven’t made it past the cheesesteaks yet! Every time I’m near Woody’s I have to stop by to get a quick meal. They won’t disappoint, you will leave with a smile for sure. They sell ice cream & a variety of shakes. Prices are $10-$20 a person, they do serve beer & have a lot of outdoor seating, with some seating inside as well.

7pm on a Thursday, two people in line when I arrived. We ordered online, which limits any customization. Pick up at the window, not too long a wait. The place is adorably cozy, but parking is quite difficult. We had milkshakes and cheesesteaks, all of which were delicious. One had chili, the other had mushrooms. Would definitely come again if in the area. (Been wanting to come to this landmark since the late 80’s! It did. It disappoint)

Really enjoyed the cheesesteak. It was the best I've had so far. Wait time was reasonable, and the milkshake was good as well. Drove 45 minutes to get there, well worth it. I've been craving another sandwich every day. 😩 😊 Order ahead if you don't have time. The influx of customers is constant from what I experienced.

I've been passing by Woody's for a while now. Today was the day we finally tried the food! We ordered the Philly pepper, Woody's Philly and the Italian sub. All three were generously packed with meat (and toppings), and each of them were delicious. Price is definitely reasonable at $8-10 per sandwhich. The service was awesome and the staff had so much positive energy. There is limited parking in the area, but a good amount of outdoor and indoor seating. We will definitely be back for more!

What an amazing hidden treasure this was. I’ve lived in Atlanta for 24 years and just learned of this place. This is the best cheesesteak outside of Philadelphia itself! The staff is super friendly so I didn’t mind waiting in line to take my order. If you love cheesesteaks and want the best, come here they are open until 4am on the weeeknds

Some darn good sandwiches! Coleslaw was perfect side. The habanero salsa verde was really nice. Hot and balanced with flavor. Get in before the rush and enjoy! Parking is not too terrible but be prepared to walk. Restroom is around the back by sign and be sure to turn on light before shutting the door. It’s dark in there if you forget. Staff are friendly too.
