Urban Cookhouse

Urban Cookhouse is a terrific casual neighborhood restaurant that is absolutely one of my favorites. I would say the chicken salad & fruit platter is one of the best dishes ANYWHERE, and it's priced at less than $10! At Urban Cookhouse, orders are placed at the counter, then the food is quickly delivered to your table. There are outdoor tables for sunny days, and there are plenty of indoor tables in the window-lined dining room. Urban Cookhouse is great for dine-in or take-out. There are also "family dinners" for four people. I highly recommend Urban Cookhouse.

Good place for a casual and quick dinner that isn't junk food. They have great grilled meats available with wraps, sandwiches, or salads. Good choice of healthy sides too. Our only complaint is that there were two kids on a total rampage running around the whole place and screaming repeatedly. The parents didn't seem to care one bit. At this level of disruption the manager needs to make a polite request of the parents to mind their children.

Well.... I wish I could say something nice, because we love eating here and the food is always fresh. We have been frequenting this place since they opened a little over 2 years ago. The only fall back has been their early closing of 9pm. When they started advertising being open until 9:30pm on Friday’s and Saturday’s I literally gave them a high-five! Fast Forward to tonight... we arrive at 9:12pm after calling ahead and verifying with Amelia that they were open until 9:30. Upon arriving at the front door, the lights were on and doors were locked. I knocked and a girl came to the door and said sorry we were slow and my manager told me to shut it down... sorry not sorry that’s not how you treat your local repeat customers. Will probably be a while before we decide to eat here again. - Food is great but be weary of their closing hours! Obviously it can fluctuate.
