Jays Kitchen & Bar

Jay's Kitchen is pretty cool! The place is really nice and would be really great for groups as long as you go on the weekend. I had a dinner date in a Wed evening, we arrived around 8ish and there was probably 5 people in the entire restaurant, my date was running a little late so we ordered around 8:30ish. They were out of the wine I ordered, so I ended up trying something new, they were also out of Mac and Cheese so I ended up ordering mash potatoes and collard greens with my Catfish dinner. The food was delish.... the service was nice except at the end of the night, we felt rushed and basically pushed out more so by some gentleman instead of out waitress, he kept coming over asking if we needed a box for out food. I didn't like that at all. However, this is a pretty cool spot to get some good food. I will probably go back!

The food was great. We did a carry out and the food didn’t take long to get bagged. They didn’t have plastic spoons or forks though. This was my first time eating lobster and it was a great experience. I got the twin lobster tails with a substituted side of baked macaroni, Lemon pepper wings and fries, and the jerk egg rolls. The manager is also very nice and welcoming.

They are currently in a soft opening phase, so fluctuations in quality of service and wait time for food may arise from this. With that being said, the food was excellent, and our server was very friendly. I see a lot of potential for the restaurant to do well and I think in a month or so the operation will be running along pretty smoothly.
