Ordered the egg benny. One is smoked salmon and the other is a classic style with bacon. They are all delicious, with a perfect poached egg and a thick soy sauce and Dutch sauce to make it creamy. The bread is thickly cut and baked well to resist the weight of the sauce and protein piled up on it. After enjoying this meal and a cup of New Zealand organic tea, we really feel energetic and not so impatient.

Our first meal in Auckland and it was the perfect spot to start the vacation. The space is large, bright, and breezy with the open air lack-of-windows when the weather is good. It’s a mixed use space where you can come here for brunch which is excellent or have a coffee and snack while you get some work done. We both ordered eggs benny. One was a smoked salmon one while the other was the more classic style with lashings of bacon. They were both delicious with perfectly poached eggs that provided the yolky thick sauce along with the hollandaise to make it rich and creamy. The bread was thick cut and toasted well to hold up against the weight of the sauce and protein stacked on top. We really felt energized and less jet-lagged after taking our time to enjoy the meal along with a cup of New Zealand organic tea. The place is also located in a “quiet” street corner of the Auckland Central Business District which was a real bonus. Overall, a great first meal choice here in Auckland for us.
