Crowded place due to the restaurant being renowned for great Malaysian food. The braised pork fried noodles I had were delicious! Worth coming here again. Parking is a bit difficult, so best to park behind (somewhere close to Teed street), or along Khyber Pass road where parking slots are available.

Ordered the Curry Lamb With Rice, Fried Buns, Curry Fish Balls, Chicken and Beef Skewers, Dirty Fried Rice With Chicken and Broccoli With Soy Sauce. Reasonable portions for the most part. All the dishes were very well made. Loved the curry sauce especially. I do think there should’ve been a bit more lamb though for the curry lamb but because we ordered lots of other protein so I didn’t mind. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this place!

It was pricey compared to other Malaysian restaurants, but it was worth it. Prawn fired dumplings were so good. The place was so busy, but staff were so friendly. I would like to go back.

We ordered curry noodles soup.. the curry broth not bad..quite authentic. Just their yong taufu still lack of taste.if compare the one have in kl. But still the food still good.

Portions are very generous, can share or save the rest for lunch the next day. Brisket was a little chewy, had to eat the chunks in one mouthful and chew it whole. The place is always busy which is a good sign.

Excellent Laksa, tastes very authentic (me coming from a SE Asian nation, I know my Laksa...). A bit pricey now, as it used to be just $15, but now at $19 as of writing. (2021). Wasn't such a fan of marmite chicken, but it was still tasty. Highly recommended.
New edit, Laksa now at $25! (Aug 2023)

My palette had the pleasure of savouring the magic of Malaysian cuisine at this humble yet wonderful restaurant, where the star of the show was unequivocally the Fried Noodles Char Kueh Teow.
The rich culinary heritage of Malaysia unraveled on my plate as I bit into the beautifully wok-fried flat rice noodles. Every mouthful was an explosion of flavor, brimming with the robust savoury, subtly sweet, and tantalizing spicy notes. The sheer delight of tasting the flat noodles, perfectly cooked with the ideal 'wok hei' or breath of the wok, was heightened by the thoughtful balance of spices that didn't overpower but rather enhanced the inherent flavour of the dish.
The Char Kueh Teow wasn't just about the noodles though. Generous portions of succulent prawns, tender slices of Chinese sausage, and plump cockles all came together to create a delightful texture that made each bite more memorable than the last. The subtle smokiness of the dish was perfectly offset by the crisp bean sprouts and the delicate, aromatic chives, adding an exciting dimension to the dish.
What I truly appreciated was the attention to detail - the omelette was perfectly scrambled and lent a unique creaminess that intertwined flawlessly with the spicy, savory, and subtly sweet elements. The garnish of fresh lime on the side was a masterstroke, its tanginess giving a refreshing lift to the overall experience.
The ambiance of the restaurant complements the food beautifully. A tasteful blend of traditional and contemporary decor creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. And of course, the staff are friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about sharing their culinary heritage, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.
It's rare to find a place that delivers such authenticity with a touch of elegance. The Fried Noodles Char Kueh Teow at this restaurant has truly been a revelatory experience - a testimony to the diversity, complexity, and deliciousness of Malaysian cuisine.
It's a dish and a restaurant I'd enthusiastically recommend to any food lover in a heartbeat!
