Best café in Papakura! eg cooked breakfast, fresh croissants, rolls, roti or sandwiches. Their own cookies, muffins, savouries, scones, soup, takeaway meals: buttered chicken, dahl, lentil soup, basmati rice.
27/06/2020: Recently 'All Tea Teatime' posted a very negative review re Mottletop. My reply to 'All Tea Teatime' is: 1) if you can't post a positive message, then don't; 2) suggest you go to McD's, KFC, Wendy's or another coffee and food provider more your style

A great little, quaint coffee place in Papakura with a great vibe, a wall of quirky material, a library of books and a piano for those talented humans. A range of snacks to go along with that caffeine fix including Vegan & GF choices.

Wholesome soup of broccoli, corn & spinach with five-grain toast . . . stunning espresso - smoothly mellow and lasted a good couple of hours. Unobtrusive service and relaxing ambience. An unpretentious gem.

Great omelette! Coffee was delish & made how I wanted it, especially since I wanted a small glass latte with ginger & cinnamon sprinkles, would recommend to others.

Yes, you can get good coffee here but the food should be mentioned. They offer many healthy options, meals that feel wholesome and also some sweet treats. I've always found the staff friendly and I like the atmosphere of the shop too.

It is lovely and warm and the owners are a lovely couple. I have been healthy with an egg cucumber bun but also indulging in a cheese and onion scone which I have to say is excellent. The coffee is supreme and they make a very nice coffee. Well worth a visit.
It is November 2018 and back again. I just had some really yum scrambled eggs and bacon. And a lovely soy flat white highly recommend Expense $-$$

Its our family favourite breaky spot. The Omelette - once you go free range with this dish, you will never go caged again. And the coffee, it's the best in town. You will never be disappointed.😊

Mottletop Cafe in Papakura is such a homely delightful local cafe and what I love most about this place are the club sandwiches and roti rolls, not to mention exceptional coffee!
