Kings Cafe Orakei

Delightful cafe beer garden set in a lovely garden centre. A pleasure to walk thru garden centre and beautiful gift ware area to reach cafe. Easy parking and lots of handicap parking for the elderly. Small range of sweet and savoury in the cabinet but a full menu range of food which was beautifully arranged in a colourful display. Coffee was made exactly to request. Tables well spaced out in the outside area which was so nice as to not be bothered by those who don't know about cafe voice level etiquette! Recommend this place for food setting ambience.

Huge shout out to the team especially to Leanne and the Manager, Kaith! I organised a baby shower for my job for a bunch of us ladies and from the first email they were very accomodating and allowed me to choose a menu style that suited the team. Answered all of my emails and queries quickly too. Yesterday arvo we celebrated the baby shower and honestly have no complaints at all. The food was delicious and considering that there was 22 of us eating (5 different food options too), we all got our meals within 10 minutes of the first meals being served. Quality wasn’t compromised either considering how many meals had to be made in a short time span and the presentation for each dish was pretty. The chefs made gorgeous big pink and blue cupcakes for each guest to eat and they let us make a huge ruckus while playing our crazy games haha! We were in the cafe during closing hours which made it even more special because we got the entire cafe to ourselves. My biggest thanks to the team! I’m so glad I reached out and decided to go with you guys. Would definitely come back for just brunch or to even host an event here again ❤️❤️❤️

It is such a bold move to maintain a café near all the competition, including the original Bird on a Wire and Palmers' Café Greenfingers. Despite its location, this café is not only very successful, but also very nice. The service is amazing, the food is high quality and the prices are reasonable. Yes, the children near the little play area outside can be loud, but they just add more to the charm of this place. I can't wait to visit again soon when the sun is shining.
