4 stars because most of it was good, but the steak toasted sandwich I ordered was a real letdown and not eaten.
$5.90, and I got 2 pieces of lightly toasted bread with some dried up strips of steak

We got the $35 fish and chips. It came with 4 fish. Due to the 4 fish I expected the chips to be enough for 4 people but it was very small. Enough for two.
Otherwise was OK. I feel it's a 3.5 star

The hoki was nice.fell apart when eating it and didn't taste fishy at all.chips were ok and potato fritter oily.i reckon just change the oil more .

Always a decent dinner que to this local legend. Best crabsticks on the coast, everything is delicious and he's very friendly for such a busy shop. A* rated certificate in window for the win.

Good fish and chips in the classic wrapped in paper style. Only marked down from 5 stars because the batter of the fish and potato fritters were oilier than one would like. Chips were good.

Finally got to try Brightside after being on the Coast nearly 2 years. Ordered burgers, fish and chips. The burgers were the usual fish and chip shop quality so a bit average, but the fresh snapper was lovely and the chips were fresh and tasty. As per other reviews they clearly change the oil in the fryers regularly, so everything has that clean taste. I'll skip the burgers next time but will definitely be back for more fish and chips.

Great chips, I think they change their oil frequently because the chips always taste fresh and are never greasy. All their other food is really good too and reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit
