Alibi Brewer's Lounge

Awesome experience, highly recommend. The staff were so lovely, we spoke to several of them during our visit and their service was great. Beautiful setting, was just had chips for a snack while we visited and they were delicious. Wine was tasty and the bathroom decor was awesome. Recommend to all, will definitely be back.

Choice "underground" feeling spot of the main winery restaurant upstairs. Really cool tap pipes coming down from the ceiling, as well as nice indoor and outdoor seating. Try a flight of all of their beers (some available upstairs) UPDATE: and the food is much better priced than upstairs as well as being more what we want from a lunch than fancy 5 star winery dinner

Amazing selection of beers! The view from the outside patio is breathtaking. We were lucky and the chief on duty (german) had made homemade bratwurst from his fathers recipe and they did not disappoint (beer may have been a factor) and the fries with aioli was amazing. As mentioned in other posts...they require a credit card to maintain a tab. This is normal in NZ unless you are paying for each drink at the bar. I highly recommend this place to unwind from a long day walking around the island. You may even see helicopters bringing in VIPs to the back landing pad :) If you are feeling adventurous try the beer made from cactus, its actually rather good

What an awesome place. Pretty small when the weather's bad, but cozy, relaxed and comfortable. Alibi has superb beer and wine options, and the food we had was sublime . The parmesan truffle fries were crispy with loads of parmesan cheese and a truffle creme fraiche, and the lamb shoulder sharing plate (pictured) was so gorgeous we'd have come back for it alone if we'd had more time on Waiheke.
