Old Bakehouse Biergarten & Lounge Cafe

I have been to Sweet affairs twice now and each time it has been amazing. Their food is flavourful and does not take long to reach the table. They have a wide range of cocktails that are amazing and beautifully presented and also offer a happy hour from 2pm to 8pm with a range of cocktails for $9. They also offer high quality shisha (hookah) at an affordable price. I really can’t fault this place. The outdoor courtyard is great for casual dining and drinking in the sun but the inside of the restaurant beautifully decorated and intimate making it perfect for fine dining. There is also a cozy cocktail lounge hidden in the back with brick walls and a cellar look. My friends and I ended up spending the whole afternoon and evening in all areas of the restaurant. Their staff are extremely professional and went above and beyond to ensure that my friends and I had a great time. I really suggest you check this place out.

The Old Bakehouse Biergarten and Lounge is nothing like I have seen or tasted in Auckland before! The first photo shows their German Inspired Big Breakfast Platter 🙌🏼 This meal was sensational as it has everything you need and more! I’ve never tried Vienna Bratwurst or Bavarian Fine Meatloaf before and they were both absolutely divine 🔥 I also got to try the freshly baked Salmon Quiche which had a flakey, buttery exterior and a creamy flavoursome centre. For dessert their Apple Strudel is a must try as it’s stacked with heaps of apple and comes with a perfect scoop of vanilla ice-cream 🍨 Thank you so much to the team at Old Bakehouse for being so nice and providing a 10/10 experience 💖

Lovely German cafe serving delicious creamy coffee and with a selection of German breakfasts. We order a Tradie breakfast, which was fried eggs and Bavarian meatloaf on sourdough, and a Bavarian breakfast, which was weisswurst and bretzel. Both great. German owner/cook certainly helps! The knitting and knitters add to a relaxed and cosy atmosphere. Looking forward to going again.
