Kiwi Fish & Chips

EASILY the best fish and chips I've ever tasted and believe me , I've seen off a fair number of portions over the years !! Coming towards the end of a 3 week holiday innAucklandvand discovered this outlet the other day ...did hesitate to repeat the exercise this evening. We don't get HOKI fishbin Durham , North East England more's the pity ( it's a fish peculiarities NZ , Australia and the Pacific Islands ) 2 generous chunks of HOKI fishband chips for 19 NZD ( that's less than a tenner back home ! ) Pearl white fish in melt - in - your - mouth batter with fries of higher standard than MacDonalds. Served by stand - alone and very pleasant Asian lady who works long hours at this shop then takes on a secondary job to help out with her finances in these uncertain times .... a hard - working lesson to us all .. well done 👏 All the very best ... couldn't workout why your queues didn't stretch a mile down Queen Street ! This is a small takeaway shop near the AUT, and for the last 2 years I’ve been coming here every time I’m at campus. it's a hidden gem. Their kebabs and chicken are top-notch. I personally love their mixed chicken and lamb on chips – they do it exceptionally well. What's even better is that their medium portions are quite generous, almost a large at other places. And the fact that it's halal is a big plus. I highly recommend this place for a tasty and satisfying meal.
