Frog & The Hen

The Frog & Hen, well the name may be somewhat off putting. However don’t shy away from this little hidden gem. Our server Riley was very polite helpful and responsive. We ordered the pimento cheese sampler which you can tell right away is made in house. Our brunch meals are as follows: Avocado Toast which was very surprising for me because the salad was fresh. Next was the waffle and bacon plenty to eat there, traditional maple bacon flavor though out. Our last dish was the Good morning sand-which: consists of fried chicken, fried egg, lots of maple bacon, cheese. Came with a side of fries. The claim here is that everything is sourced locally from farmers. That really does make it unique eating experience. We loved the atmosphere. One last edit they offer military discount! Holy Cow!!! This place is so good!! First, I was welcomed by an amazing host who then seated me My server, Elliot, was absolutely AMAZING!! He gave wonderful recommendations and was super helpful the entire time! Food arrived quick and hot Highly recommend the fried cheese bites and the BBQ Pulled Chicken Sandwich! Everything was perfect! Definitely a good first experience and will definitely be returning!

I have frequented Frog & the Hen several times and have never been disappointed! This is one of my favorite places in the CSRA to eat fresh salads and roasted or fried chicken. They also have some of the best salmon I have ever had. Love the sear on the salmon which still keeps it nice and flaky. This time I had it on a salad but their salmon and grits is also one of my favorite dishes. I also normally get their Nashville hot chicken sandwich with Calabrian sauce (so yummy with a good amount of spice) on the side and their amazing fresh cut fries but today I decided to try the Nashville hot wings which were also very good and not too spicy; just the right amount of spice and flavor. Their cucumber dill side salad is also a must try. You can also never go wrong with their half roasted chicken plates that come with 2 sides and a variety of dipping sauces to choose from. They also have brunch on the weekends which is very good as they also offer bottomless mimosas. The service and restaurant ambiance is great! They have outdoor patio seating with umbrellas and sell wine, sauces, sides and amazing cookies and cinnamon rolls to go. This is a must try establishment that will keep you coming back for more. Easily accessible to I-20 if your passing through Augusta. Added bonus they take reservations!

The food, atmosphere, and service was excellent. My dad was in town visiting and specifically mentioned that he wanted to come here so we stopped by tonight! We ordered the pimento sampler that comes with house-made saltines (they're yummy, but super salty so really load them up with the cheese) to start. My chicken sandwich was excellent though personally the mac and cheese wasn't my style. It was good, but just not for me. My dad is a fan of the shrimp n grits that he ordered. We also asked for a slice of both key lime pie and carrot cake to go- they look and smell great but we haven't tried them yet because we're still full haha. This was my second time coming here and my experience both times has been pleasant- the excellent service in particular stands out
