Sandy Point Seafood

All these years driving through Augusta to camp and never knew about Sandy Point Seafood. Will be a regular stop now. Haddock sandwich was huge. And fish tacos, highly recommended by another customer, with mango sauce and a nice homemade salsa were great although too much for me to eat. Crispy fries I thought were great although my wife wasn't a fan - more for me. Live lobster price was very good. Took our takeout over near the kayak put-in at Mill Park.

This FRIED HADDOCK lunch plate was absolutely phenomenal. There was 3 adults including myself. We are all over 6feet yall with very health appetites, and this 1 plate went around 3ways and we were alllll super full and super satisfied. We also picked up 10 lobsters for dinner later that night. This place did not disappoint at all. Being from the south, visiting Maine my expectations for food were very very complex. I know good food, and I love love love fresh seafood, and I'm a sucker for great customer service. Everything about this place was perfect🤗🤗👌👏👏👏👏

Red Barn has real competition! The staff was friendly and the service was quick. I ordered the Chipotle Shrimp Salad; the amount of shrimp was generous, the vegetables were fresh, and the price was very reasonable. While I waited for my food, a woman stood in line just to tell the staff it was the best meal she had on her trip, and it's easy to see why!

We're here on vacation, from Colorado. This place is great and I love doing business with them. The shelled lobster is top-notch!, I'm going to pick up a few more pounds to freeze and fly home to Colorado. I did that last year and we had occasional lobster rolls all winter. And you can't beat making your own lobster stew with nothing more than lobster tails, butter, heavy whipping cream and a sprinkle of salt. I am saddened to learn of their personal tragedy; gleaned through reading reviews, and I'm glad to support their business. Lifting them and theirs in prayer.

The food was excellent. Very disappointed with the size of portions. A $20 scallop basket came with 12 small scallops, 1 - 1 1/4 inch around at most. The shrimp basket didn't have very many shrimp in it either. I've been eating there since they opened, and the portion size is much smaller than it used to be.

I just stopped in on a whim when I saw they had fish tacos, brought them back to work with me and am absolutely floored with how good they are. Insane amounts of fish, delicious mango salsa and the chipotle mayonnaise is incredible. These are hands down the best fish tacos in the greater Kennebec Valley and I look forward to trying more off their menu.
