Applebee's

I want to start off by saying that our service was amazing. Despite it being later in the evening closer to close, and it was already busy since it was a holiday, our waitress was kind, attentive, and we were served quickly. They run a special for half price appetizers which we took advantage of. The boneless wings were alright, nothing special. The loaded waffle fries were delicious. The entrees were good, and reasonably priced. I got the blackened cajun salmon and substituted the mashed potatoes for Spanish rice. The desert was awesome too. We got the blue ribbon brownie; two huge slices of a warm gooey brownie with nuts and chocolate drizzle paired with two scoops of ice cream. Convenient location, right by the bowling alley. Good variety of food at good prices and its a solid option if you’re looking for a place that stays open late.

After a long day, this was the spot to go to! After 9PM certain menu items are half off. We got the pretzels with Alfredo and they were delicious. Yes, it was busy, but the GM (Keith) ensured that all aspects of the dining experience ran smoothly and he actually helped his crew when they needed a helping hand! I'll definitely be back.

The service was great, our waitress was fantastic! The food was, well, okay. I ordered a 12 oz ribeye medium rare, and it was the world's thinnest 12 oz ribeye I've ever seen, nor was it cooked properly. You can see pink in the picture, but I promise you this steak was well. Applebee's used to have fantastic steaks but I was disappointed in this one, also for some reason we had plastic silverware but I don't hold that against the restaurant by any means. Again service was fantastic but the food prep needs looked at just a little bit.

I will start off saying that if I could give 0 stars I would but the minimum is 1. I’ve traveled around the country and never experienced terrible service that we experienced on January 15 at 11:30pm. Upon walking in we were greeted by a confused crowd waiting for a server to seat people. After a 20 minute wait we were informed by the bar staff that there were no servers. Eventually bar staff sat us down and servers came out of the back of the restaurant and walked around not servicing anyone. Another 30 minutes went by without anyone treating us at our table for water or food or even a courtesy “we are short on staff” which they weren’t at all it looked as though staff was in high numbers and the restaurant wasn’t even packed. A manger or supervised was within sight but did not seem to be managing effectively. We never got our food we walked out after waiting a total of one hour to even get a water. Will not be returning because making eye contact with employees that know you have no service and effectively telling their coworkers that it’s not their problem will keep me and everyone I know far away from this restaurant. Went in with low expectations and the expectations were crushed what makes it worse is that late night dinning options within Augusta are limited so there are not many choices. Staff needs to do better and so does Managment.

Waitress very nice. We were seated but did not get a kids menu for my grandson. We had to ask for napkins and condiments. Lunch business was low so we did not understand what the problem was to get the things we were supposed to get. I ordered a bacon cheese burger, no fries but extra lettuce pickles onions. She said I would still have to order a side so I asked for cheese broccoli. She came with my burger but with fries. She had to go back to the kitchen 2 times to get my order.
