Dropped in with friends from out of town, and thrilled it was exactly what it said it would be- Awesome atmosphere, fantastic food, and our server was superb!! Another recommendation for you to stop by! Happy Eating 🔥

This place is very unique and comfortable. Limited menu of well chosen sandwiches and appetizers. We didn't drink, but the bar looked amazing. The sign outside does not say The Watering Trough, so it was hard to find until I looked at the picture of the building.

I love the interior. It’s like a wooden barn. They have a fireplace, bar, plenty of seating in and out doors. It’s connected to the hotel, so it’s easy access if you’re staying at Lone Star Court.

Great spot to kick it , eat and get good drinks. Inside the Domain it's where I go to cool down after shopping. It is inside/ outside , good for any season.

While staying at Lone Star Court I had the opportunity to dine at Water Trough. The place is really like like eating inside a big barn with bar on one side and fireplace on the other. There are TVs all around and live music at night.
The first night I enjoyed a Lone Star Beer and Peach Cobbler. The beer was good and the cobbler was tasty. I thought it could have been a little sweeter.
The next morning I had breakfast where I ordered the Classic Breakfast Plate. I customized it to include scrambled eggs, bacon and toast. There was free coffee to help wakeup. Breakfast was very good and had a tentative server to make sure we were satisfied.
I never know this place was here and glad was able to discover it.

Happy hour is great and so we’re those margaritas! This place is so gorgeous and has good vibes. It was so easy to sit for hours just talking and listening to the music while sipping on our drinks!

Awesome place. You don't have to stay at the lone star to come here. They have free coffee and a good breakfast order as well as brisket nachos for dinner. The drinks are good as well. It's really relaxing in there and they had music playing every night along with happy hour everyday.

Super friendly staff, good food at very reasonable prices. Had both breakfast and dinner here during our stay. Drinks are downright cheap so not a bad idea to have one or two before heading out for the night.
Live entertainment was exceptional, great way to cap off the evening in wonderful Austin weather.
