Summer Moon Coffee (south First Original)

If you want a great coffee I recommend this place. I ordered a latte, the aftertaste of those coffee beans is amazing. However their coffee pods that they sell in the coffee shop ($15 dollars for 12) are not worth buying, all of the four flavors taste the same and they taste like a cheap coffee - no rich aftertaste like in the coffee shop whatsoever. You can buy Cafe Ole in HEB for $7 and enjoy it more. Update: I bought coffee pods from this coffee shop. What a disappointment, they coffee tastes cheap and bland. Don’t recommend it.

They have gluten free donuts from Bougie’s donuts. Said the gf pop tart mentioned in another review must be a mistake because they haven’t ever had them. They do have vegan pop tarts though and they looked very good. On the Saturday I went they were already out of gf donuts at 11 am. I like their flavored lattes or I’ll get a 1/4 moon latte because it’s not as sweet. The drip coffee is the opposite, a little too bitter for me but it was incredibly flavorful—very smoky and oaky. Like a campfire or something 😊 It’s probably great with cream/ sugar but I drink drip coffee black 🤷‍♀️😆

Hands down the best iced Vanilla Chai Tea Latte I've ever had. While busy, the staff were friendly and fast handling mobile orders as well as those of us inside. The spot appears pup friendly on the patio and I could tell this was my kind of place due to the welcoming skeleton at a booth in the corner. Parking is limited, but it's worth stopping to satisfy your coffee cravings.

Wow. Honestly, the coffee here was amazing. I am glad I stopped in when I was visiting Austin. The beans are roasted well. Flavor profiles are off the charts, and their "Moon Milk" is actually delicious. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back next time I am in town. You have got to check this place out!

I love Summer Moon- I’ve been to several locations including the Frisco, Dallas, Fort Worth, TX and Daphne, AL locations but this is the original flagship location and I absolutely loved it!!! The staff was amazing and the atmosphere was like a little cave type feeling but it was so cool and the coffee was great!! Highly recommended if you’re in the area!
